St. Ours

                                 Sunsets never get old!
Boomerang and Stay Cool on the lock wall.
                            Entering or exiting the lock?
                                   Looks like a castle.
                                    So many churches!
Beautiful temples rising up from the trees!

Another church - quite elaborate spire!
                                   Loving the landscape.
So many churches on the water!

We decided to stop at St. Ours Lock Wall,  basically, we had traveled as much as we wanted to and this looked like a nice stop. We’ve purchased the Canada Parks Pass, so the walls are free; electric is a small fee, but the exchange rate of currency is good right now - it’s approximately $1CA = $.75US, a bonus for us!

The lock walls in Canada are park like settings. Normally, the grounds are very pretty; a renovated dock master’s house being used as an office, picnic tables, flowerbeds and tress for shade. Lots of green space for Traxx. They usually bathroom facilities and some even have showers. The staff are all so nice and courteous. Locking through can be stressful, wind can make it difficult to secure to a wall. The staff are so helpful, taking your lines, as necessary and they even grab lines when tying up to a wall.

I think we’re gonna like our time in Canada!
