Brunswick, Georgia was a nice, small town.  We stayed at Brunswick Landing Marina; the rates were good and you could walk to town.  After we docked, we took a walk to check out the bathrooms facilities, laundry and pay for our slip rental.  It was near Easter at this time (April 4).  As Jeff was walking to the restroom, he spotted an Easter egg.  He picked it up and assumed an Easter egg hunt was getting underway soon.  He didn’t open it and just laid it back down.  The dock master was watching and told him to look in the egg.  It happened to be an adult egg hunt and we won a big bottle of wine!  Yay for us!  What a nice surprise!

Our friends, Darleen and Rusty, were at Brunswick too.  We went across the street to the Apothecary Bar - it was pretty cool with inexpensive, but tasty drinks!

As we left Brunswick, our next destination was Sunbury Harbor to the Sunbury Crab Co. Restaurant and Bar.  I’m chose this place because it was recommended in The Loopers Companion Guide.  The book has been so helpful with planning stops on the loop.  I probably wouldn’t stay at Sunbury Crab Co. again although I’ve heard other loopers rave about it.  The owner was very nice and the food was good, but there really wasn’t anywhere to walk to - just eat/drink and it seemed a bit pricey.  There was a beautiful sunrise!

As we were leaving the restaurant to return to our boat, a looper friend, Matt, informed us that another looper boat had come close to hitting our boat - he actually said he had to jump into the cockpit to try and keep them off!  Ironically, we had walked back from the restaurant with this couple and they never said a word.  No damage was noted to the boat, thank goodness.
