Our next stop (May 7-9) was in Annapolis. We’ve heard that this was a “must-stop,” and I understand why. Such a cute place, lots of things to see and do! It’s the capitol of Maryland and was the first capitol of the USA.
We stayed at Annapolis City Marina Eastport. We had to walk across the bridge but it wasn’t far and you could get a beautiful picture on the harbor from the bridge. The marina had everything you needed and was close to town.
We met with Rachel and Malcolm, on Stay Cool, here. We walked around town with them, saw the Naval Academy, The State House (which is the oldest, legislative state house still in use) and ego alley - where the boats come in and turn around, showing off a bit! We also enjoyed dinner and had the infamous crab cakes!
Our friends, Bob and Mary, on Changing Latitudes were here too. We saw them later in the day, on our second day; we weren’t able to spend much time with them.
